Before NBC said, "Thanks, but nahhh," SNL writer and producer John Mulaney had a pilot that some were calling the next 30 Rock, and that others were calling the next Seinfeld. Now Mulaney's back in the mix at Fox. "If the network likes the new version, the project will receive a six-episode series order," Deadline reports. "I hear Fox brass are big fans of Mulaney and were interested in the project with some script and potential cast adjustments." Martin Short is still in, although Nasim Pedrad and Elliott Gould may not stick around. »
