Now, I’m not much of a reader but I do love me some spy thrillers which are usually based on a number of bestselling authors. One of my favourites of recent years was Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, based on the gripping novel by John Le Carre. Part of that reason is also my love for the sprawling BBC mini-series starring Alec Guinness, and I thought Gary Oldman was superb in the role synonymous with the late British acting legend.

Director Anton Corbijn has also recently completed an adaptation of Le Carre’s acclaimed works.
