Shooting on the upcoming Poltergeist remake begins in Toronto, Canada in September with Gil Keenan (director of the suitably-named animated hit Monster House) at the helm of the spooky thriller. It’s being produced by Ghosthouse Pictures’ Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Roy Lee, from a script by David Lindsay-Abaire, Juliet Snowden and Stiles White.

Plot details have emerged that the story will follow the newly named Eric Bowen. A recently laid off man who relocates to a new town to find work along with his wife, Amy, and daughter, Madison. However, young Madison is mysterious abducted, forcing him to realise the only important thing in life is his family.
