'21 & Over' review: Campus comedy lacks real laughs

The Hangover writers Jon Lucas and Scott Moore don't stray too far out of their comfort zone for directorial debut 21 & Over, a fast-paced 'One Wild Night' comedy about college students celebrating a landmark birthday.

School friends Miller (Miles Teller) and Casey (Skylar Astin) take a road trip to visit pal Jeff Chang (Justin Chon) on campus for his 21st birthday. The catch? Jeff Chang (who is referred to by his full name throughout the film's entirety) has a Med School interview the next morning and his strict father wants him to follow in the family's proud medical tradition. Things quickly go awry, however, as Jeff Chang gets wasted, goes missing and sends his drunken pals into a panic about getting him home.
