AMC has set a premiere date for the final eight episodes of "Breaking Bad," and it's also greenlit a companion show a la "Talking Dead."

"Breaking Bad" will begin its final run at 9 p.m. Et Sunday, Aug. 11. When the show left off last year, Walter White (Bryan Cranston) was feeling as though he had conquered everything he needed to conquer. The final scene, however, showed Hank (Dean Norris) realizing his brother-in-law is Heisenberg, which promises to be an enormous wrench in Walt's life.

AMC will use the end of "Breaking Bad" to launch its new drama "Low Winter Sun," which premieres at 10 p.m. on Aug. 11. It stars Mark Strong and Lennie James as Detroit police detectives who are involved in the murder of a fellow cop.

"Breaking Bad" will also get the "Talking Dead" treatment with "Talking Bad," a half-hour talk show that breaks down every aspect of that night's episode. »
