After launching "The Expendables" franchise, Sylvester Stallone has been working to bring additional 80s action heroes for each new installment. We previously heard that Mel Gibson was considered for "The Expendables 3." And now, Stallone has confirmed that, but not to star in the film. "What about Mel Gibson directing Expendables 3? Opinions anyone? Curious...," Stallone wrote on Twitter. It's not clear if that was meant to be an announcement that Gibson will direct the new film or whether Stallone is polling his fans. Gibson has had a great career as a director, having worked on such films as "Braveheart," "The Passion of the Christ" and "Apocalypto." The first movie earned him an Oscar, the second one made him filthy rich. Unfortunately, Gibson's personality made him a pariah in Hollywood. Question: Would you like for Mel Gibson to direct "The Expendables 3"? »
