In 2006 300, directed by Zack Snyder made quite  a dent at the box-office, and is one of the reasons that the summer blockbuster season now starts in March. Later this year we will see the release of the sidequel (as it happens at the same time as the events in the first film) 300: Rise Of An Empire. The film will focus on a number of different battles happening concurrently with the events of the first film, in which an army of just 300 Spartans took on the Persian army. One of the huge battles will even be taking place at sea.
