Have I Got News for You returned to decent ratings on Friday evening for BBC One, overnight data reveals.

Stephen Mangan hosted the long-running panel quiz show, amusing 5.45 million viewers (23.9%) at 9pm.

Not Going Out also returned for its sixth series and first without Tim Vine, attracting 4.21m (19.1%) at 9.30pm, only slightly less than the previous run's opener.

Earlier, MasterChef brought in 3.51m (14.3%) at 8pm, while The Graham Norton Show returned to 3.65m (24.8%) at 10.45pm.

On BBC Two, the Mastermind grand final quizzed 2.12m (9.4%) at 7.30pm. Gardener's World was seen by 2.42m (9.9%) at 8.30pm.

Martin Lewis's Money Show pulled in 3.36m (14.5%) at 8pm on ITV. Piers Morgan's Life Stories with Karren Brady fared only slightly better with 3.37m (15.0%) at 9pm.

Channel 4's special How To Win the Grand National mustered 609k viewers (2.6%) at 8pm, while Alan Carr's Grand National edition of Chatty Man was seen by 1.26m (6.0%) at 9pm. »
