Here’s the best news I’ve heard all day, Wesley Snipes—Aka The Artist Formerly Known As Inmate # 43355-018—is a free man once more. Snipes has been serving time in Pennsylvania’s McKean Federal Correctional Institution since December 2010 for not filing his federal taxes. They take that shit seriously. After all, it was tax evasion that finally brought down Al Capone, and he did a ton of horrible stuff. TMZ reports that Snipes was released on April 2, and that he will be under house arrest—the preferred official nomenclatures is “home confinement”—until July 19. After that he can finally get to work on “Expendables 3” and that “Passenger 57” sequel I’ve been waiting for since 1992. Okay, that last one is just a lingering teenage fantasy, but the “Expendables” part may very realistically happen. Anyway, we would like to welcome Mr. Snipes back to the land of the free, »
