'Downton Abbey', 'Game of Thrones' stars for Disney's 'Cinderella'?
Downton Abbey's Lily James, Dark Shadows star Bella Heathcote and Margot Robbie are in the running for the title role in Cinderella.

The Disney project, to be directed by Kenneth Branagh, is testing all three actresses in London this week, according to Deadline.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson turned down the lead role, while the likes of Saoirse Ronan, Alicia Vikander, Imogen Poots and Gabriella Wilde were all linked to the project at various stages.

Cate Blanchett is still onboard to play Lady Tremaine, the wicked stepmother jealous of Cinderella's beauty.

Alongside the cast of Cinderella, the filmmakers are also shortlisting actors to play the Prince. Game of Thrones star Richard Madden is said to be an early contender for the part.

Cinderella will reportedly begin shooting in London later this year for release in 2014.
