Brad Pitt Takes On David Ayer’s ‘Fury’

Apparently World War Z just isn’t enough world war for Brad Pitt. He’s just been announced as taking on the lead in David Ayer’s World War II film Fury. Fury will follow a tank-crew made of five Americans during the final days of the war in Europe. Ayer, best known for writing Training Day and one of the greatest films of 2003, S.W.A.T., has had a pretty steady directing career so far, with films such as Harsh Times, Street Kings, and End Of Watch taking up space on his CV. 2014 will see the release of Ayer’s next film Ten, which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Fury will be the first time that Ayer steps out of the cop/crime genre as a director. In fact, Ayer has stayed with the genre ever since 2001′s The Fast And The Furious, despite starting his career a year earlier with U-571. Let
