Zoe Saldana to star as Gamora in 'Guardians of the Galaxy'?

Is there any sci-fi franchise Zoe Saldana isn't fit for? The "Avatar" and "Star Trek" actress is reportedly up for one of the lead roles in Marvel's upcoming movie "Guardians of the Galaxy."

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Saldana is in negotiations to play the role of Gamora in the 2014 film. Like "Avatar," "Guardians of the Galaxy" would require Saldana to get a CGI makeover. Gamora is described as a "green-skinned humanoid who is the last of a species that was exterminated by a race known as the Badoon" who also "happens to be a skilled assassin."

Two of the five Guardians of the Galaxy have already been cast in the upcoming James Gunn film. "Parks and Recreation" star Chris Pratt is playing Star-Lord (aka Peter Quill), while WWE fighter Dave Bautista has been cast as Drax the Destroyer.
