Kimberly Peirce, the director of Boys Don't Cry , Stop-Loss and the upcoming Carrie , has signed on to direct The Brand , based on a 2004 New Yorker article by David Grann. First drafted by Ric Roman Waugh ( Snitch ) and subsequently rewritten by Alessandro Camon ( Bullet to the Head ), the film follows U.S. Attorney Gregory Jessner and his prosecution of more than 40 off the top leaders of the Aryan Brotherhood prison gang.
