The year is one-quarter of the way over if you can believe that and yet, what do we have to show for it in terms of movies? I've handed out a few B-range grades as of late, but none of the films I've graded bubble to the top to the point where I believe they will be in consideration for "Best of 2013" talk. In fact, only one film falls into that category... Steven Soderbergh's Side Effects. As far as the rest of the year is concerned you can have it. I don't count films such as The Place Beyond the Pines or Room 237 because I saw those last year and haven't seen them since.
