'Need for Speed' release date pushed back

'Need for Speed' release date pushed back
The action film Need for Speed has had its release date moved.

The Scott Waugh-directed feature stars Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) and Dominic Cooper (The Devil's Double).

Need for Speed will now debut in cinemas on March 14, 2014 rather than its original release date of February 7, 2014, Deadline reports.

The change means it will avoid the competition of Warner Bros' The Lego Movie and Sony/Columbia's RoboCop.

Need for Speed follows a street racer, Tobey Marshall, who has just been released from prison.

On the outside, he is framed by a wealthy business associate with a massive bounty lingering on his head.

Imogen Poots (Fright Night) and Michael Keaton (Batman) will also star in the film.
