G.I. Joe: Retaliation gained some momentum on Good Friday and held on to first place with a very good $15.5 million. Meanwhile, Tyler Perry's Temptation opened nicely, while The Host was a bit underwhelming. Including its Thursday gross, G.I. Joe: Retaliation has now earned an estimated $26 million through its first two days. That pales in comparison to the first Joe movie, which had already earned $40.3 million through this point. Still, it's a different time of year and a different release pattern, so it's not a perfect apples-to-apples comparison. In fact, it now looks like Retaliation could wind up grossing over $50 million by Sunday, which would be close to The Rise of Cobra's $54.7 million opening weekend.In second place, The Croods eased a very light eight percent to an estimated $10.7 million.
