Despite The Mandarin making his cinematic debut in Iron Man 3 this summer, played by Academy Award-winning actor Sir Ben Kingsley, the supervillain’s presence was, of course, implied in the original 2008 movie by The Ten Rings terrorist group. Concerning how the evil organization will play into the Shane Black-helmed 2013 Marvel actioner’s story, and more, producer Kevin Feige reveals: “The Ten Rings is a terrorist organization that we set up really for the eagle-eye fans. Yinsen, in “Iron Man 1,” says they call themselves the Ten Rings, and that was our allusion to the ten rings of the Mandarin.
