Wbhe's documentary "Eastwood Directs: The Untold Story" will have its premiere April 27 at the Tribeca Film Festival (April 17-28), followed by a panel with Clint Eastwood, moderated by Darren Aronofsky. The new doc is yet another walk with Eastwood from his buddy, Time veteran film critic and historian Richard Schickel, who has made a career out of celebrating the prolific actor-producer-star.  He penned a  hagiographic but readable biography, another retrospective book and the film "The Eastwood Factor." Here he focuses on Eastwood's directorial style as experienced by many of his closest collaborators. Included interviewees are Martin Scorsese, Meryl Streep, Gene Hackman and Morgan Freeman. Eastwood is now a five-time Oscar winner, and has made more than 40 films with Warner Bros. over his long career. He also serves as a model for many smart actors to follow, from Clooney to Affleck: control your career by choosing your own cost-effective projects, star in them when. »
