Earlier this month, Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros announced that Christopher Nolan's next film will be "Interstellar" and that it's scheduled to hit theaters on November 7th, 2014. Deadline is now reporting that Nolan is in talks with Matthew McConaughey to play Cooper, the lead male role. "Interstellar" was the idea of Steven Spielberg, who set up the project with DreamWorks back in 2006. The director was intrigued by Caltech physicist Kip S. Thorne and his scientific theory that wormholes exist and can be used for time travel. Christopher Nolan's brother Jonah Nolan (The Dark Knight Rises, The Dark Knight, Prestige, Memento) was hired to write the script. Eventually Spieberg dropped out, but having a script by Jonah Nolan made it easier to attract Christopher Nolan.
