The Marvel Cinematic Universe has featured more than its fair share of truly brilliant actors, from Jeff Bridges to Tommy Lee Jones, to Anthony Hopkins, but now another legend of the silver screen is seemingly ready to make his way into the comic book universe. Deadline has learned that Robert Redford is now in talks to join the cast of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the upcoming sequel to 2011's The First Avenger which will be in theaters early next year. While there aren't too many details available - most notably a character name - the site says that should the Oscar winning performer sign on he will play a senior leadership role in S.H.I.E.L.D., meaning that he could have a very close role with Samuel L.
