Back in the spring of 2011, we heard that Rush Hour and Red Dragon director Brett Ratner was taking on Hercules, an adaptation of Steve Moore's comic book which doesn't make the Greek hero a superpowered man, but simply a mortal with an intimidating reputation. The film sees Hercules, played by Dwayne Johnson, teaming up with other men who face death as the King of Thraces hires a group of mercenaries to become the greatest army of all-time and take on an ominous, perilous mission. Now THR has word on some of the cast members joining Johnson including Jack the Giant Slayer king, Ian McShane. Read on! In addition, veteran actor John Hurt, Shakespeare in Love star Joseph Fiennes and Rebecca Ferguson have all landed roles as well.
