Skeet Ulrich to Topline CBS's Anatomy of Violence Pilot

More pilot casting news has arrived, and while we're still not sure if this one will be Dread-worthy, we like the direction it's heading in so we thought we'd share.

Deadline reports that Skeet Ulrich (Scream, The Craft, "Jericho") has been tapped as the male lead in the CBS drama pilot "Anatomy of Violence," written and executive produced by the "Homeland" team of Howard Gordon, Alex Gansa, and Alex Cary. It's directed by Mark Pellington.

Inspired by the non-fiction book The Anatomy of Violence: The Biological Roots of Crime by Adrian Raine, which is being released April 30th, the 20th TV-produced drama centers on Raines (Ulrich), an unshaven, disheveled, and maverick FBI criminal psychiatrist with an expertise in sociopaths who partners with a young female detective with whom he shares a conflicted past.
