Sony Pictures has been sued by a stuntman who suffered life-threatening injuries after he was lit on fire and jumped a lake on a motorcycle as a promotional stunt for the DVD release of the 2011 film Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. In a lawsuit filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court and obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, stuntman Michael Gaboff (known as "Crazy Mike") claims Sony, producers Break Media and Next Point, Inc. were negligent in the execution of a stunt that left Gaboff with a broken back, collapsed lungs and second-degree burns.
