Saturday Night Live alumna Jenny Slate has been cast as a lead opposite June Diane Raphael in ABC’s single-camera comedy pilot Pulling, from ABC Studios and Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment. The project, written by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky and directed by Jason Moore, revolves around three dysfunctional women in their 30s living their lives the way they want, even if society tells them they should have it all figured out by this point. Slate plays one of them, Karen, who may be a prim and proper professional during working hours, but once she’s off the clock, look out. Raphael plays the leader of the trio, Donna, while the third role, Louise, became vacant after originally Mandy Moore exited yesterday. Steve Talley (Pretty Little Liars) has been cast is ABC’s comedy pilot Keep Calm And Karey On, from writer/executive producer Andrea Abbate, 20th TV and 21 Laps/Adelstein. »
