Back when Lance Armstrong was an inspirational figure, Paramount Pictures was developing a film based on the cyclist. Then when Armstrong admitted to taking drugs and lying about it, the studio shifted the project and acquired rights to Juliet Macur's book "Cycle of Lies," which follows the drug scandal. Now comes word that Warner Bros has decided to start work on a competing project and has already hired Jay Roach to direct (Game Change, Meet the Parents). Story details have yet to be revealed, but the studio secured life rights to Armstrong's racing partner Tyler Hamilton, which means that the drug scandal will be at the center of the film. The script is being written by Scott Z. Burns (Side Effects, The Bourne Ultimatum). No word on when the movie will go into production or be released. »
