Lenora Crichlow has landed a role in a new Us pilot.

The Being Human star will appear in a new sports comedy from ABC, TVLine reports.

The as-yet-untitled sitcom also stars The Godfather actor James Caan and Psych's Maggie Lawson as a father-and-daughter duo who coach a Little League baseball team.

Crichlow will play Gigi Fernandez-Lovette, mother of one of the players who befriends Lawson's character Terry.

The English actress is best known for her UK television credits, including roles on Sugar Rush, Doctor Who, Being Human and Death in Paradise.

Most recently, Crichlow starred in an episode of Charlie Brooker's dark anthology series Black Mirror.
