The Walking Dead Season 3 may still be airing, but filming wrapped last year and everyone is moving onto the fourth season. With Scott M. Gimple officially hired as the showrunner of The Walking Dead, we were curious to learn how the new season may differ from the past seasons. Thankfully, Robert Kirkman and Gale Anne Hurd provided some details during a recent interview.

Our friends at Comic Book Resources caught up with the two during PaleyFest, and Robert Kirkman stressed that the series will continue to include major parts of the comic book series in the fourth season:

“We’ve always been sort of moving in and out of the comic book, and I think that we’re going to continue to do that. I think that there are huge elements of the comic book in Season 3. Moving into Season 4, it’s going to be pretty much the same…”
