With the release of Crystal Dynamics' new action game Tomb Raider today, the game studio and Gk Films are feeling the pressure to reboot the film franchise. They are working very closely to bring the action franchise back to the big screen with a younger Lara Croft in what will essentially be a prequel.

Head of studio at Crystal Dynamics Darrell Gallagher expressed his excitement for working with the film studio and where they are planning to take the film.

"They are working from this new take that we've given them, It's a good partnership. We're seeing the challenges through the same lens. It was important for both of us to have a cohesive version of the franchise. We didn't want to see a film version that was a continuation of the old 'Tomb Raider' films."

Creative Director for Crystal Dynamics Noah Hughes said this about the character. »
