In addition to the BBC's Easter weekend ninety-minute Jonathan Creek special, The Clue of the Savant's Thumb, three new hour-long episodes are due to begin filming this autumn according to Alan Davies' Twitter feed.

Davis made the announcement earlier this afternoon, with the following message: "Jonathan Creek fans, we are making 3 one hour eps in the autumn. No other details yet, hopefully I will be playing Creek."

The Clue of the Savant's Thumb, starring Davies, Smith, and guest Lacey Turner, is "a complex case involving a secret society, seemingly supernatural events at a girls' boarding school, and the miraculous disappearance of a body in front of three witnesses »
