J.J. Abrams has two pilots coming this fall, just to make us all feel like underachievers, one of which is in an untitled pilot coming to Fox, that he’s working on with Fringe showrunner J.H. Wyman. The pilot takes place in a near future when cops are paired with android partners, with Brad Anderson directing.

The main android in the show has been found with Michael Ealy, who has deserved a leading role for a while now, with roles in The Good Wife, Californication, Flashforward, and Seven Pounds. His role is described thusly: “Dorian, a mechanical officer who understands humanity more than his human partner.”

It’ll be interesting to find out who his human partner is. Stay tuned. »
