The star of French hit Untouchable joins a starry roster including Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Lawrence on the forthcoming film, to be directed by Bryan Singer

The Cesar-winning star of Intouchables (aka Untouchable), Omar Sy, will become the latest French actor to venture into Hollywood after signing on for an unspecified role in the latest X-Men film.

Sy, who portrayed a young man from the wrong side of the tracks who unexpectedly finds himself caring for a disabled rich man in the highest grossing non-English language film of all time, joins a high-profile cast for Bryan Singer's return to the superhero franchise, X-Men: Days of Future Past. "Thrilled to welcome the brilliant #OmarSy from the amazing film #TheIntouchables to the cast of #Xmen #DaysofFuturePast!" Singer tweeted.
