Director Bryan Singer has announced on Twitter that French actor Omar Sy has joined the cast of X-Men: Days of Future Past.

The 35-year-old (above) is known for his role in The Intouchables, released in the UK in September 2012.

Omar's character in the film has not been revealed, leaving many fans to speculate he could play Bishop, a mutant law enforcer from the dystopian future.

Although Bishop did not appear in the Days of Future Past comic book story, he was in the animated adaptation. But there's no official confirmation.

In other gossip, the blog Shadow and Act is reporting that Halle Berry hinted she's likely to be back as Storm.

The site said: "She did confirm to me that she would be returning in the role. Most likely. Practically 90 per cent sure.

"She told me that are a few details that are still being negotiated which she couldn't get into. »
