Jack the Giant Slayer easily took first place at the box office on Friday, though its gross was unimpressive to say the least. 21 and Over and The Last Exorcism Part II also disappointed, and are on their way to less than $10 million for the weekend.Jack opened to an estimated $7.7 million from 3,525 locations yesterday. That's worse than almost all comparable titles, including last March's big-budget debacle John Carter ($9.8 million). It was even lower than star Nicholas Hoult's last movie, the modestly-budgeted Warm Bodies ($8.14 million). Based on similar movies in this time frame, it's likely that Jack the Giant Slayer ends the weekend with less than $24 million.21 and Over took second place on Friday with an estimated $3.34 million.
