Back in 2010, Ridley Scott (Prometheus) directed "Robin Hood" that starred Russell Crowe as the title character. The Universal Pictures film grossed $321 million worldwide on a $200 million budget, and was a failure with the critics. Now comes word that DreamWorks is working on its work Robin Hood movie, called "Merry Men," which will be directed by Scott Waugh (Act of Valor) from a script by Brad Ingelsby, who wrote Liam Neeson's "Run All Night" and Christian Bale's "Out of the Furnace." "Merry Men" is a re-imagining of the Robin Hood legend, focusing on Little John, Friar Tuck, Maid Marian and Will Scarlet. The film will have a revenge angle that's tonally reminiscent of "The Dirty Dozen" and "Ocean's Eleven." »
