ABC's The Returned written by Aaron Zelman has cast Frances Fisher. The story has Arcadia residents seeing their dead loved ones return, and comes from Brad Pitt's Plan B, ABC Studios and Brillstein Entertainment, reports Deadline. Charles McDougall, who helmed the pilot of The Chicago Code, numerous Sex and the City eposodes, The Office, Big Love and More, directs the pilot of The Returned. Veteran actress Fisher played Detective Saxon in TV's The Edge of Night series from the late 70s to early 80s, and has had constant work since then, with credits including Laws of Attraction, The Shield, Eureka, Janie Jones, The Lincoln Lawyer, and the recent Retribution thriller.
