Sometimes, when you're interviewing an actor in support of his new movie -- in this case, the English actor Matthew Goode of "Stoker" -- all you want to do is sneak in a question about a past project. The project I wanted to talk about was "Watchmen," in which Goode played the villain Ozymandias. Sometimes, no matter how much you like the current project (and I do like it) you just can't wait to get to that question about the past. But then the actor decides he wants to talk about gun control -- which is much more interesting than your question about the past. And, it's hard to blame him, since the stylized violence of his current movie has already prompted more than a few conversations about the issue.
