Juliette Binoche is reportedly in line for a role in the upcoming remake of Godzilla.

Variety reports that the French actress is in talks for an unspecified role in Legendary Pictures' reboot of the classic 1954 monster movie, which will be directed by Gareth Edwards (Monsters).

Elizabeth Olsen recently confirmed that she is attached to the remake, while Bryan Cranston and Aaron Taylor-Johnson are also in talks to star.

Frank Darabont, who is co-writing the remake alongside Max Borenstein and Drew Pearce (Pacific Rim), recently spoke about the enduring appeal of the Godzilla story.

Earlier this year, Legendary Pictures filed a lawsuit against producers Dan Lin, Roy Lee and Doug Davison in order to remove them from the movie.

Despite fears that the legal action could cause the production to stall, Godzilla is still scheduled to arrive in cinemas on May 16, 2014. »
