This year will see another face off of the Deep Impact verses Armageddon magnitude, with a duo of action-thrillers which both take place in The White House. We’ve seen very little of Roland Emmerich’s White House Down, a feature that pits President Jamie Foxx and bodyguard Channing Tatum, against hostile invaders on their home turf. We suspect they’re waiting for the similar-themed, Antoine Fuqua-directed, Olympus Has Fallen, to move out of cinemas before unleashing any footage.

The latter project has an all-star cast as Gerard Butler leads with his best John McClane impression as a Secret Service Agent who sneaks into the iconic address to foil a hostage situation with terrorists, one that naturally involves the Us Commander-In-Chief.
