As if winning an Oscar wasn't enough, Adele can also lay claim to the fact that her 21 sold more worldwide than any other album in 2012. (By the way, 21 did the same thing in 2011, the year it was released.) According to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (Ifpi), 21 sold 8.3 million copies last year. Adele's nearest competition? That would be Taylor Swift, whose Red sold 5.2 million copies globally.
