The Mad Max series, which propelled Mel Gibson into stardom, and created one of the most striking examples of a post-apocalyptic world, is finally getting the blu-ray collection it so rightfully deserves.

I love the Mad Max franchise.  I have ever since I was young (and probably shouldn't have been watching them).  It remains one of the more interesting apocalypse settings I've seen in a film, and it's social commentary remains as powerful today as it was back then.  So I was pretty excited when the press release announcing the trilogy coming to blu-ray in a collection (on June 4th) came across my inbox.  Here's the press release for the details:

Mad Max, the sci-fi franchise that introduced Mel Gibson to the world, will come together for the first time as a Blu-ray collection when Warner Bros. Home Entertainment (Wbhe) debuts the Mad Max Trilogy on June 4th.
