In a master stroke of metatextual casting, Lionsgate Television announced today that Lindsay Lohan has been cast to play Charlie Sheen's love interest in an upcoming episode of the FX sitcom "Anger Management." The casting of Sheen as the lead in "Anger Management," based off the 2003 Jack Nicholson/Adam Sandler film, was itself a play off the actor's public meltdown and departure from CBS' "Two and a Half Men." He had a far from amicable parting of ways from his last employer, but in his cable series takes the role of anger management therapist Dr. Charlie Goodson. After the show was given its giant, contractually determined 90-episode renewal, Sheen's father Martin Sheen even joined the cast as the protagonist's dad.
