Dame Shirley Bassey and Halle Berry paid tribute to James Bond at this evening's Oscars.

Berry, who starred in Pierce Brosnan's final Bond movie Die Another Day, introduced a video montage highlighting 007's 50-year screen history before Bassey took to the stage.

The Welsh music icon sang her hit 'Goldfinger', the title track from Sean Connery's 1964 007 outing. It marked the first time that Bassey has performed at the Oscars.

Bassey also provided the Bond themes for 1971'a Diamonds Are Forever and 1979's Roger Moore blockbuster Moonraker.

She has sold 135 million records and made more than 44 albums in a career spanning six decades.
