Les Misérables has been voted the most deserving 'Best Picture' winner by Digital Spy readers.

Tom Hooper's adaptation of the beloved musical came top in our recent Academy Awards poll with 45.1% of the vote, easily beating its nearest contender Argo, which scored 14.3%.

Jennifer Lawrence won the 'Best Actress' poll in a landslide for her performance as an unstable young widow in Silver Linings Playbook, with 62.8% of readers voting for her as the deserving winner.

Meanwhile, Daniel Day-Lewis's turn in Lincoln narrowly beat out Hugh Jackman's lead performance in Les Misérables to secure the 'Best Actor' vote, with the stars earning 30.4% and 28.5% respectively.

Day-Lewis picked up the BAFTA award for his performance two weeks ago, while Lawrence was beaten by fellow Oscar nominee Emmanuelle Riva for her performance in Michael Haneke's Amour.
