Update: While Disney decided to make Alexander and the Horrible, Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day after 20th Century Fox dropped the project, director Lisa Cholodenko will no longer helm the project. The great news is that Steve Carell Is still planning to star as Alexander's dad!

Cholodenko quitting the project makes this movie down 2 directors so far. But let's be honest: her leaving may be the best thing for this movie. Cholodenko is a very talented director of very adult material - most of her movies are Rated R including the only one that included kids: The Kids Are All Right (which really isn't about the kids as much as about the parents of the kids). In the meantime, may we make a suggestion? Disney, hire Andy Fickman, who directed You Again, Race to Witch Mountain and The Game Plan for Disney (and recently Parental Guidance for 20th Century »
