Update: Variety seems to have confirmed that she will indeed be playing April O'Neil. It's been a while since we've heard anything about Michael Bay's upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot, which was delayed last year in order to accommodate major changes to the script. Fans have been up in arms ever since Michael Bay revealed that he was re-imagining the Tmnt origin story and potentially changing the Turtles themselves to be aliens instead of mutants. In the past half a year or so, even more criticism has come out about the movie's original script, including some harsh words from Peter Laird himself.
