Adam Sandler has signed on to star in an untitled romantic comedy (formerly titled Blended) set up at Warner Bros. The story follows "a man and a woman who, after a disastrous first date, get trapped at a family resort with their kids from previous marriages in tow." Believe it or not, a romance starts to develop. At one pre-Sandler point Sandra Bullock was attached. Now, THR hears Drew Barrymore is emerging as the frontrunner to play the female lead, which would form a nice Sandler/Barrymore trilogy following The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates. There is no director on board yet, but Sandler has decided to make this his next project under the Happy Madison banner. That means The Ridiculous 6, a Western comedy Sandler is attached to, will be put on hold for the time being. I'd rather see Sandler out of his comfort zone in the Western »
