Just when everyone was getting used to the fact that Leonardo DiCaprio would be taking a break from acting, meaning we’d only get to see him in peculiar Japanese whiskey commercials for a while, it looks like the actor may already have another project lined up.

Deadline is reporting Warner Bros. has bought The Road Home for director Scott Cooper who will also be producing alongside DiCaprio. Although it is still unknown whether DiCaprio will star or only produce, it looks like the story is being rewritten by Cooper as a star vehicle for DiCaprio.

The Michael Armour novel which the film will be based on follows Creek, a war-scarred rancher on the California coast during the depression-era who finds himself entangled in a scandal when he’s asked to investigate a murder of a local man, that despite being brutal, was swept under the rug by the local police. »
