Sky and Disney have just announced that they are joining forces to create an all-new channel to the existing range of Sky Movies channels called rather appropriately…Sky Movies Disney. Sky have distributed a lot of Disney channels in the past, such as Disney Junior, Disney X and, of course, Disney Channel, but this will be the first co-produced channel between the two. The channel, which seems in many aspects to be similar to the current Disney Cinemagic, will begin on the 28th March and along with the new deal, Sky has also secured the rights to air Disney produced films both on-demand and then on the channel for all Sky Movies users just 6 months after they have ended their run in the cinemas.
