Johnny Ray Gill (Harry’s Law, True Blood) has been cast as a series regular on the upcoming third season of the AMC’s The Killing.  Fans of the series will remember that AMC initially canceled the series last summer. The producers, Fox Television Studios, announced that they were attempting to shop the show to other networks, with DirecTV and Netflix said to be in the mix. After some back-and-forth, finally on January 15, 2013, AMC and Fox Television Studios announced that the series has been renewed for a 12 episode third season. Production is schedued to start this month in Vancouver, Canada. Johnny Ray Gill will play Alton Singleterry, described as "a low-level gangbanger who may be on death row but hasn’t let that dampen his spirit. While Alton may think he can dictate his own fate through manipulation and persistence, he will learn there are other forces in his world »
