Justin Lin, the director of every "Fast and Furious" film since the third one, is attached to direct and produce a film adaptation of author Patrick Lee's untitled upcoming character-driven thriller novel at Warner Bros. Pictures.
The book is the start of a series featuring an ex-special operative named Sam Dryden. Dryden runs into a mysterious young girl who is not quite what she seems, and he embarks on a journey to keep her safe from a powerful government agent intent on hunting her down.
Lin's Barnstorm Pictures banner will produce alongside Michael De Luca. An adaptation of Lee's first novel, "The Breach," is also in development with Lorenzo di Bonaventura and David Goyer attached as producers.
